All sizes should be legible. Check for fuzzy edges at small sizes (10–12px).
What Affects Text Clarity
- DPI/PPI: Higher pixel density = sharper text at all sizes
- Scaling: Non-integer scaling (e.g. 125%) can cause blurriness
- Panel type: IPS generally renders text more consistently than VA
- OS settings: ClearType (Windows) and font smoothing (macOS) affect rendering
- Native resolution: Running at non-native resolution always reduces text clarity
